Becoming a tenant

Step One - The Property Search

Once we have a clear understanding of your property needs, we will match your search criteria to all of the properties we have on offer on our database, and will shortlist a selection of suitable properties for you. When you have chosen the properties you would like to visit, we will arrange with you a convenient time for you to have an accompanied viewing with one of our dedicated Lettings negotiators.

Step Two - Application

When you have identified a suitable property, we will run through our Tenant application with you , and in order to secure the property we will request a small proportion of the deposit in advance, which is fully refundable in the event you are not successful. The application will provide us with details of your referees to enable us to obtain references. Once the application is complete your information will be forwarded to and discussed with the Landlord for acceptance.

Step Three - Security Deposit

To ensure we are able to release the keys to you we will require full payment of the deposit in advance. These funds need to be cleared at the time of move in, so if you are planning to pay by card or cheque please contact the office 7 days in advance to make the necessary arrangements.

Step Four - Tenancy

An appointment will be made at our office to sign the Tenancy Agreement, terms and conditions relating to the handling of the deposit and any other documents required. We will also complete a written account of the contents and condition of the property prior to commencement of your Tenancy. You will be asked to sign a copy of this document at the office, and will be given a copy to take away with you and the opportunity to amend it if required within 7 days of the Tenancy commencing.

Step Five - Completion

Once we have successfully completed your application, we will hand over the keys to you so that you can move into your new home. It’s as simple as that.
